Shape Straw Cowboy Hat
How do you shape a straw Cowboy Hat. I want to curl the brim. Do I soak it in water first?
Have a Straw Cowboy Hat, although I wanted a felt one, and do not know how to shape the brim. Nothing drastic just a little customizing.
Yeah, I soaked the brim of mine in pretty warm water for a few minutes to soften it up. Then, I rolled the brim up to the shape I wanted and weighted it down with layers of towels so it would dry that way. I flipped the towels over after an hour so the dry side would be next to the hat and help it dry out. I left it that way overnight and it came out fine. Good luck!! : )
